I2G kicked it with Bobby Brackins for a exclusive interview. We discuss his current singles, 143 featuring Ray J along with its star studded remix, his upcoming EP and much more so check it out.

Illuminati 2G is here with Bobby Brackins how’s it going?

It’s going good, just keeping busy.

Tell me a little bit about your start in music and who are some of your musical influences out there coming up.

Basically I got my start…, I probably started recording my junior year of high school. I listen to everything, Bone Thugs, 2pac, The Fugees, Green Day, Cee-Lo, all types of random stuff. I would listen to what I like and not so much what my friends were listening to. If I like it, I support it.

You have a new single entitled 143 featuring Ray J. Tell me a little bit about the single.

Basically I wrote the song and originally Ray J was going to get on a different song on my album. Listening back to 143 I thought it would be big if Ray J got on that song instead and everybody thinks it is a hit. We just shot the video before the song started to catch a buzz at radio or anything.

And you have a remix also for the single correct?

Yeah the remix has Dorrough, Roscoe Dash, Paul Wall, Ray J and YG.

Are you going to do a video for the remix?

Nah no video for the remix but we are going to do a video for a new song I have out entitled I’m Ready. The video for it is going to drop in the next week or so. My EP we are shooting a commerical for it right now and that will drop around the same time as my video. My EP will drop December 21st.

Is there any details you can give about your album that is going to drop after your EP?

Basically the EP will have 143 and I’m Ready, which have been played on the radio and I have a new song on it that will probably be my next single called And 1 featuring my homegirl Dev and she sang the hook to the Like A G6 song, which was the number one song for a month.

The album, I just have a bunch of dope records like I have a dope record called 180 with Jeremih, and we are just waiting for Def Jam to clear it. I have alot of hot records, but we want to put out the EP first and give people a taste of the dope records that are going to be on the album.

The album is pretty much done but I am also waiting on a Swizz Beats beat and I am going to get in the studio with a bunch of different people. Stargate, the people that made Black & Yellow for Wiz Khalifa and get a couple more solidified smashes on there and the album will be out sometime in the Spring, maybe around March.

What’s your thoughts on hip hop in 2010?

I think it was good, I am excited that Lil Wayne is out of jail, because he is gonna keep killing them and going hard. I am excited to hear all of his new music, I like what Wiz Khalifa is doing, I like what Drake did he had a hot year. I like what Nicki Minaj is doing, Rick Ross is going hard, alot of people are making great, consistent records. I think 2011 is going to be a great year for music.

Do you have any upcoming shows or tour dates?

I think myself and YG are going to do a bunch of shows together towards the end of the winter. I am planning on going on a big tour around Spring to support and promote the album. Just everyone look out for the EP on ITunes December 21st. It is called Live Good Part 5 and Live Good The Album will be out in the springtime.
