One half of the influential duo The Cool Kids, Chicago trendsetter and cultural mainstay Sir Michael Rocks returns with his latest project, Rocks, Paper, Scissors: Choices, which is now available on all DSP’s via Fake Shore Drive. A testament to his enduring style, effortless cool and artistic evolution, the project further amplifies Mikey Rocks’ evolution. From his trendsetting style, witty lyricism, to pioneering a new wave of minimalist rap aesthetics, Mikey continues to shape culture on his own terms.
Rocks, Paper, Scissors: Choices features a dynamic lineup of collaborators, including Bruiser Wolf, Valee, Tha Musalini, DJ Fresh, and Skooda Chose—each adding their own distinct textures to a project that thrives on versatility and confidence.
“Rock Paper Scissors is one of the world’s oldest games. It’s balanced, fair, and hard to cheat. I feel like in some instances, most people have played it for fun, to gamble for high stakes, or to make a big decision,” Mikey Rocks states. “This album captures that spirit of big decisions and high stakes. I carefully selected each feature for their specific contribution to the story. The lineup of producers was also a deliberate choice to develop a specific sound that is cohesive throughout the album. I wanted to make a project that highlighted the pros and cons of taking risks, while providing a vivid backdrop of Chicago living. The good and bad and everything in between.”
Eternally ahead of the curve, Sir Michael Rocks continues to build on an already prolific run. Rocks, Paper, Scissors: Choices arrives on the heels of a sold-out The Cool Kids tour alongside Chuck Inglish, reaffirming the duo’s lasting impact and loyal fanbase. The new project also follows a string of recent releases, including Hi Top Fade(October 2025) and the re-release of Gone Fishing(February 2026) with Don Cannon, which featured appearances from Ludacris, Bun B, Ryan Leslie, and more.
