About “Change”
The third and final single from Bassments of Badmen 4 is a posse cut that is a declaration of individuality and acceptance of who you are. Pasquale delivers a chill instrumental that layers xylophone sounds and guitar riffs over stuttering boom bap drums for a clean, minimal backdrop on which Birdapres, Nolto, Thesis Sahib, and Touch demonstrate their individuality in both lyrics and delivery. But the highlight of “Change” is the mid-song chorus that combines the sing-song harmonies of Nolto and Thesis for a catchy hook that breaks the message down to the simple advice of “You will convince me I’m not perfect, I refuse to change”. The perfect song for when you need that little pick me up.

About the Artists
Birdapres is an Alleged Legend of the Vancouver hip hop scene, coming up alongside Moka Only, who he has teamed up with to finally release their long talked about collab as Golden Section. One of the most underrated in Canada.
Nolto is a rapper/singer/songwriter who came up through Sideroad Records in Saskatoon, SK. His style sits somewhere between singing and rapping while not really resting comfortably in either. His most recent release is Amazing Saturday with German producer Noblonski.
Thesis Sahib a true artist. He raps, creates circuit bending sound collages, and paints some weird ass stuff. His style is unique, flipping easily from sing-song flows to high speed chopping. A member of Backburner, Thesis is in the process of releasing a series of lost albums with various collaborators.
Touch is a beast. And a master of the concept album. He’s also no slouch in the braggadocio department. His voice demands attention. After a series of collaboration albums, he’s been moving forward as a one man army, stepping up as rapper, producer, DJ, art director and videographer of his new projects.
