“On The Rise” delivers a ‘day in the life’ type visual, but on an accelerated scale, chronicling a crucial 2-day period in Chi Sees’ promising career. The documentary delves into the rapper’s inspirations, showcasing the emotional core that drives her music, her family. A moving moment in the film features a phone call with her father and one-time Hip-Hop producer, who is currently serving time in Federal Prison, highlighting him as Chi See’s introduction to the Hip-Hop culture.
The Documentary also captures two pivotal Chi Sees performances. The first takes place at the legendary Middle East nightclub in Cambridge, Massachusetts, a significant milestone for any rising artist. The second performance sees Chi sharing the stage with some very notable names in Hip-Hop, including Benny The Butcher, 38 Spesh, and Fuego Base, during a show in Brooklyn, New York. These three dignitaries are key features in the documentary, as 38 Spesh even offers his perspective on Chi Sees’ talent and potential, while also letting the cat out of the bag that they have some music currently in the works together.
“This film is more than just a look into my music career; it is a window into my life,” says Chi Sees. “It shows the world my hustle, love, pain, along with the key components that have made me who I am today. I am grateful to Jaestar Filmz for capturing this chapter so authentically.
“On The Rise” is a testament to the grind and dedication of an artist at the cusp of breaking through. It is a story of family, inspiration, and the relentless pursuit of a dream, all condensed into a powerful 48-hour visual experience. Chi Sees’ “On The Rise” documentary is OUT NOW and available for streaming on YouTube.
