I2G is here with Meeco & DJ Access, how’s it going?

We’re on a great run — our new track with Planet Asia is out now, and the next single featuring M.O.P. will be released this year, too.

How did you get your start in music and who are your musical influences?

I [Meeco] started out in jazz, and over time, that foundation inspired me to dive into music production and beat-making.

I’m (Access) started with 14 years with DJing, cause my older brother brought me into the genre. Since then i’m living HIpHop.

You just recently dropped your new single Worldwide with Planet Asia. Tell me a little bit about how that track came together for you.

After working with Rasco, the other half of the legendary duo Cali Agents, on our track “First Cut the Check”, teaming up with Planet Asia felt like the natural progression. He was in Germany and had time for a studio session. He liked the demo so much, that he recorded within 2 hours.

Do you have a upcoming Mixtape or album set to drop?

Yeah, we are planning to release an EP next year.

Do you have any more upcoming videos?

Yes, working on our next video feat. M.O.P – but we will see what happens.

What are your current thoughts on the music industry?

The industry is always changing – we’re glad to see that „our“ sound is still relevant and the organic sound scores more and more back.

What is currently playing on your playlist musically?

I [Meeco] really like Jenevieve, her track “ Head over Heels” is awesome.

I’m always good with Alchemist-Productions…Mobb Deep, Larry June, Freddie Gibbs, Lord Apex etc.
