Last night, multi-platinum superstar Offset was joined by the band Drowning Pool on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to deliver a genre- and generation-crossing performance of his smash single “Bodies.” Flanked by fellow Atlanta iconoclast J.I.D and hit-making producer BNYX®, Offset launched into the hard-rocking version of “Bodies” heard on his just-out KIARI:OFFSET deluxe album — but instead of sampling the iconic whispered hook and grinding guitar from Drowning Pool’s 2001 nü-metal hit of the same name, they had the real thing. Watch the instantly legendary performance HERE.

Upon release, “Bodies” debuted on the Billboard Hot 100, became the #1 added song at Urban Radio, and racked up universal praise — including from The Source (“a bold summer return”), BET (“smash single”), UPROXX (“Offset and J.I.D. go hard”), HotNewHipHop (“urgent, reflective, and necessary”), and Complex, who ranked J.I.D.’s verse the sixth best of the year. Vibe called the cut an “earth-shattering lyrical clinic… [Offset] brought his hard-nosed, aggressive flow, which matches the 808s and drums, and fellow ATLien J.I.D. dropped one of his best guest verses ever.” The duo’s since discussed the scorching single with Variety, Genius, and AP News. The song’s exotic video was creative-directed by Offset himself.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon performance follows the deluxe release of Offset’s third solo LP KIARI — listen HERE — which added a CeeLo Green collab among other new songs to a stunning tracklist that already included team-ups with Gunna, John Legend, Ty Dolla $ign, Key Glock, YFN Lucci, Teezo Touchdown, and YoungBoy Never Broke Again. With Offset’s birth name as its title, the album is his most open and vulnerable. As Rolling Stonewrote in their 4-star review, “KIARI underscores Offset’s critical gifts, tapping into his chutzpah while demonstrating even more growth.” VIBE noted, “It is every side of the Atlanta rapper that fans grew to love over the last decade, and a sign that he is as fortified as ever by himself.”

Offset is currently touring arenas with YoungBoy Never Broke Again on the MASA Tour. Tonight is the first of back-to-back nights at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena. Dates below and more info HERE.
