| May 14, 2025 – Atlanta-born rapper Pluto(Motown Records) has her foot pressed firmly on the pedal with the release of her new single, “Pull Yo Skirt Up.” In the song, Pluto makes an emphatic statement towards men who are acting out of line or wasting her time with their nonsense. Pluto’s unmistakable voice and high-octane energy are draped all over the production that samples an iconic Southern hip-hop record, which shows Pluto bringing together the different generations of hip-hop.
“Pull Yo Skirt Up” comes after Pluto went viral with the release of two hit singles. The first was her biggest single to date, “Whim Whammie,”which was released in March and went on to push Pluto into the spotlight. The song was the No. 1 most added on impact at Urban Radio with over 24M total global streams, 2.3M total creation, and 3.5B views on TikTok. In addition, the official music video for “Whim Whamiee” is a hit on YouTube with over 8.3M views and counting.
Pluto amplified that success with the April release of “What Da Fuk” which went ahead and grabbed the young star 1.2M YouTube views, 2.7M total global streams, 150M views and 220,000 creations on TikTok. Pluto wasn’t done there as she also released “Poppin (Make Me Nervous)” last month to wide fanfare.
Pluto hails from the West Side of Atlanta and is a graduate of Washington High School. She began writing freestyles at the age of 14 and recorded herself rapping over YouTube beats and instrumentals of her favorite songs. Her raw talent and self-made style quickly caught attention, leading to her first record deal with Motown on March 30, 2025.
