Spark Dawg Drops New Anthem For The Streets

Spark Dawg talks about his upcoming projects, including being the Hood Dentist and some of his clients.

Man, really, it’s like the trajectory of my business, as far as what I got going on on TikTok with the grid, it’s so hot now, it just made sense to incorporate that into my music because I’m viral on TikTok, like millions of views, and probably more popping up with the grid than I am with the music. You know what I mean? So it’s like I’m doing celebrity teeth, like Tisha Campbell from The Barnhead and all type of shit.

So it only made sense. And it really was a drama I did to change the original title I had on my album was Colleen. You know, that’s my own town.

But it came to the hood then it’s to kind of piggyback off all the momentum I got going on with the hood and that shit. So that’s how that came about.

Oh yeah, for sure, all the DJs that go on Instagram, I feel like I got the easiest Instagram name to remember. You got Instagram and my shit is Spark a Gram. You know what I mean?

You can’t fuck that up, man. Spark a Gram, we use Spark a Gram. So it’s Spark underscore a, it’s real easy.

And then on TikTok, y’all can go search thehooddennis, how it’s regularly spelt, you know, the spacehoods, space dennis, to show me what shit was going on.

Now, are we going to get a tour from you this year?

I just got reached out to by a touring agency called Gorgeous Music, and they do an annual tour called We Outside Tour, and there’s usually like three or four headliners that they do. They had me come out on a few spot dates last year, but this year, they reached out and they wanted to base the whole tour around me. So they got me a phone and being drumming.

I’m headlining the We Outside Tour, part five, it’s about 30 dates. The first show is July 4th in Orlando.

Spark talks about his new single, Bounce It with LilRonnieMF

The concept is just, when I moved to Atlanta, I was really trying to figure out, like, how can I make these people fuck with me, with me not being out here? You know what I’m saying? And it just made sense, like, me being in what people consider is like the strip club capital, you know, in Atlanta.

I figured the easy way for me to get a spin is to have some hot in the strip club. So we can try to, you know, take the eat, like, work smarter and not harder. You know, I could rap my ass off.

Everybody who done heard my music, they know I’m a hell of a rapper. But, you know, it ain’t really about that today. You know what I’m saying?

So I just, you know, came up with a dope strip club record, you know, went back in. It’s always important for me to, like, what Jerome was saying earlier, like, staying, staying, staying tapped, tapped in with my culture back home. And I know one of the biggest artists who, who got motion in the strip club is my homie, Lil Ronnie Mother F.

You know, like, if you from Texas or in the South, you know he got a record called Throw That Ass in the Circle. You know what I’m saying? And it just made sense for me to get a homie from Texas on the record with me so I could still, you know, fuck with the crib and have this record going crazy in Atlanta.

So we got Lil Ronnie on it, motherfucker. We shot the video with Dallas’ number one music director, you know, Half Pipe Bim. So we ain’t cutting no corners, man.

We just trying to make this shit stick.
