>> I2G is here with Dio Gin, how’s it going?
>> Peace fam. Everything is going great on my side. Hope all is well with you.
>> I’m good, thanks for asking.Tell me a little bit about how you got your start in music and who are some of your musical influences
>> I first got started in music when I joined a small independent label in 2001. The crew was called Pangea Pham. We were a collective of dope emcees from Boston. We were kinda like a mini Wu-Tang. Not only were we a crew but we were all solo artist as well. We released an album and a few mixtapes. After that I just made my rounds through the local scene performing and working a mixtapes until I released my first solo album in 2019, called The Lonely Hero.
>>
>> Tell me a little bit about your new single, Steamboat VS Savage and how it came together for you.
>> The single Steamboat vs Savage came about because I working on a wrestling theme album called, The People’s Champion. The album features song titles and samples from old school wrestling clips. On this particular song I was able to secure a feature with an emcee named Wordsworth (from Lyricist Lounge fame). One thing lead to another and I wasn’t able get the video with him done, so I created another version of the song. This version is the Easy Coast Kings version and features my partner in rhyme, Cube Ref. That’s the version that was recently released as a single and video.
>>
>> Are you currently working on a new album or mixtape?
