How did you get your start in music and who are your musical influences?
I basically locked myself in, and started doing experiments with sounds and patterns. After 15 years of perfecting my style I started reaching out to rappers. My debut producer album is „Flatulent“ with Declaime from Oxnard. He the one that put me on.Him and Madlib, J Dilla and many others were my influences when I was still skating.i listened to a wide range of genres as well.
You just recently produced a new single, Donuts featuring Frank Nitt and Ila J. Tell me a little bit about how that track came together for you.
I started connecting with artists all over the globe recently. Antrue from Austria is a big fan of my beats and also runs the label Soulchain Records with his friend Chill ill.the whole idea of the label is to connect globally. Producers from our neck of the woods linking up with Artist from the US. Antrue then asked me who I would like to collaborate with. I answered and he connected me with Frank. I guess I’m very lucky that he liked my stuff and even got Illa J on the record.
Do you have an upcoming Mixtape or album set to drop?
I just finalised an Album with Antrue. He even made me rap in our mother tounge over my own productions.We also have a lot of features from the US on the record. It will be released via Krekpek Records (Berlin)
Do you have any more upcoming videos?
A friend and myself done a soopa dope video for the Track Flatulent with Declaime (Dudley Perkins). The Next Video will be Antrue and me for „Ende der 90er“ which is more for the German and Austrian heads.
What are your current thoughts on the music industry?
Like everything nowadays, it’s a business that lets underground artist struggle. that’s why i have a main grind that pays my bills. I only do music for the love of it.
What is currently playing on your playlist musically?
I didn’t really listen to a lot of rap music in recent years but now I really got back into it. Sonnyjim is just wicked and I like the British accent as I lived not too far away from Birmingham myself and he is from Brum. So I really bump his ish.
