Acclaimed rapper, singer, songwriter and podcast host Sy Ari Da Kid releases the deluxe edition of his celebrated album The Last Shadow In The Shade, hailed by AllHipHop as a “must-hear album of 2025.” Inspired by artists and anyone who has ever felt overlooked or unrecognized, the project features Benny The Butcher, CyHi The Prynce, Freeway, Kxng Crooked, Nick Grant, Vega7 The Ronin, Gillie and Nu Jerzey Twork.

This week, Sy Ari debuted the official “Rebellion” music video featuring Benny The Butcher and CyHi The Prynce, shot in the heart of Underground Atlanta, capturing the raw essence of their journeys. The release follows the video for “A Block Away From The Corner Store,” a tribute to his old neighborhood on Atlanta’s northside, capturing the vibe of hanging out on your front porch steps away from the corner store. The deluxe edition includes a remix of “Quote Unquote” featuring Freeway, KxNg Crooked and Nick Grant. Speaking on the collaboration, Sy Ari shares, “It was an absolute honor to create this remix alongside legends. Freeway and Kxng Crooked are artists I grew up admiring, and collaborating with Nick Grant, an incredible emcee in today’s rap game, made this even more special. The beat brings that classic Roc-A-Fella vibe.”

On May 2, Sy Ari will release his second album of the year, My Next Ex, a deeply personal R&B-influnced project blending raw storytelling with smooth melodies.
