Neisha Neshae AKA The Queen Of R&B Trap

The self proclaimed Queen of R&B Trap, Neisha Neshae, is a dual threat musically and the big screen with acting. She talks about her current projects and her new single.

Well, you know, I’ve just been really locked in recording and just building my catalog. However, I just dropped a new single, featuring Iceware Vezo, Quad Demon Time, that dropped like, I think it was like last week, and I’m getting ready to drop my first album.

Neisha discusses her new album.

The title of the album is called Redirection. So, you know, just throughout the journey of my career, I’ve done a lot of growth, not only as a woman, but as an artist.

Just in the way that I approach things, a lot of self-discovery, diving into my creativity and exploring different avenues and things like that. I’m just, I’m more in tune with who I am. And so I feel like this album definitely represents the growth and just sends a message that, you know, God is real and God will redirect you on your path if you’re willing to, you know, be receptive to him.

So, that’s where I’m at.

Neisha describes what her studio vibe is like.

So, for me, I enjoy good energy. I don’t necessarily need anything materialistic, but I feel like as long as the people in there are good vibes, you know, then everything else kind of works itself out. The lighting, of course, we like a good lighting in the studio or anywhere, so we could get some good content.

But yeah, and for the most part, I record at home. I actually, like, built myself a little home situation, so this is where I spend a lot of my time. Like, every song on the project, maybe with the exception of one, are all recorded and written by me in the comfort of my HQ.

Right. Now, you and Fesl got a great relationship. I’ve seen you in one of his movies.

Neisha talks about her burgeoning acting career and what’s in the works.

Absolutely. I just actually wrapped a new series with Dennis Reed. It’s called We Different.

It’s about a group of friends that all have crazy different issues in their life. It’s six episodes, so that’ll be coming out soon. And the movie I just did with Bezo, I didn’t just do it, but it is out on 2B.

It’s called Price of Love. Make sure you guys check that out. It’s a great movie.

That was like one of my first big roles that I played. I played Jasmine.

Neisha talks about the creative process for her new single Demon Time featuring Icewear Vezzo.

Hmm, said, I think, I believe said is on the car. I can’t remember what the producer’s name is off the top of my head, but once he says it, I’m going to be like, Rob 2B. Oh, yeah, Rob 2B, super dope producer.

And I recorded Demon Time about three years ago. I was video catching the vibe. And at the time, it just wasn’t the right time to put it out.

So, you know, come as of recently, about a year ago, I was like Bezo would sound perfect on that song. So I reached out to him personally and asked him if he would get on it. He was more than happy to, because him and I have been locked in for, shoot, since the beginning of my career, many, many years.

And I mean, he killed the verse. It’s fire. Once you hear it, you’re about to be like, okay, yeah, like, you might not think that’s all we’ll get on something like this.

But he came on a real smooth, you know, talking his talk. And I think it was worth the wait for me. Three years later, this record is it made like four or five different playlists that I know of so far on Apple and Spotify.

And it’s still hot on Spotify right now. And we’re trying to get this headstand challenge going where it’s called the Demon Time Challenge.
