– I2G is here with DJ King Flow, how’s it going?
Thanks for having me ! I’m doing great, I’m in vacation in Italy as we’re speaking, having a good time.
– You just recently dropped your new instrumental album entitled The Adventures of FJ Parker. Tell me a little bit about the album and how it came together for you.
It’s been like 2 years since I haven’t dropped an instrumental album. The last one was “Nuevo Mundo”, and I’ve wanted to bring my listeners into a new musical experience this time. I was a bit tired of doing strictly hip-hop beats, so I’ve decided to try new vibes like house, jazz, r&b, etc… I haven’t had fun like this for a while !
– Do you have any albums set to drop?
Yes, I’m planning on doing more instrumental albums with the FJ Parker character.
– Do you have any more upcoming videos or singles?
Of course ! Besides those instrumental albums, I have new albums and singles coming soon with UK rapper Rhyme Assassin, US rapper Obleak, Chaundon, also an EP coming in December with french artist Dnzl Izm, an album with Seattle’s own Black Stax, and more stuff that I can’t talk about yet… Stay tuned !
– What are your current thoughts on the music industry?
To be honest I don’t care about the music industry, all I care about is making good music, developing my audience and working on my radio show… I’m in my own little world and it feels great. And let’s not forget that 2025 was an amazing year for hip-hop culture !
– Absolutely, yes it has been a stellar year for hip hop. What is currently playing on your playlist musically?
Lots of different music : it goes from jazz artists like Brian Culbertson, Tom Browne, Boney James or Joe McBride, I’m listening to new Ghostface Killah, Rakim & Hus Kingpin, Black Stax, old school Beastie Boys, Juice Crew, Big KRIT, UGK… but also Michael Jackson, Prince, and also reggae music like Ini Kamoz, Beenie Man… A lot of different stuff man !
– Do you have any shows or tour dates?
No shows for now. I’m about to become a father for the first time in a few months, so I have to be there for my future child. I spend most of my time in the studio developing my sound and the “Mixtape Addict Show”, which is a weekly syndicated radio show broadcasted on more than 200 stations in 27 countries. Plus I have all those albums and singles dropping, I’m very busy, but why not in the summer of 2026 !
