NY rapper Pardison Fontaine has been dropping nothing but heat musically. Whether it’s crafting hits with Kanye West and Cardi B, or flooding the streets with his own street bangers. Speaking of street bangers, Pardi has dropped a new single entitled Toot It Up featuring Cardi B. He talks about it further here:
I’m coming off of my secondary project. This has been like an independent project. And we just really like re-kicking it off with this, in similar fashion to the last one.
I’m not sure how it came on like that.
That we had in the tuck, and we kind of wanted to get out there, because people kept asking for it. Like, I know anything I’ll post anytime I had a snippet or anything like that. People would ask them, where’s this song?
Where’s this song? So I was like, yo, I just talked to them. We got to give them the song, but they’re not letting me live it down.
Like so.
So we came, we came with it. I like the energy. I like the feedback that it’s given.
And she’s been championing herself as well.
Pardi also discussed the chemistry working with Cardi B on multiple songs.
And likewise, if she’s going through something, I’m always the first person on her line. So, and you know, I help her throughout her whole creative process, because she wasn’t really, she was new to the rap when we first met. So, just given that, we just been close, and every time we come out with something, it’s like, let’s give them something that’s gonna shake it off, let’s give them something they can dance to, you know what I’m saying?
We like to just set that tone.
Pardi gets into the creative process for his upcoming projects.
Really, really, this last summer gave me a opportunity to really like just create whatever I wanted. You know what I mean? So a lot of it was melodic, right?
A lot of it was melodic. Then we had a few, we’ve got a few rap songs. And then just for the last, I want to say year, maybe two, I’ve been cooking up this project with just female artists.
Like, and I gave one of those records with Sexxy Red. I put it on the last project. Well, we got a record with GloRilla coming in, in Rubi Rose.
I got a record with Money Long. I got a record with Lady London. I got a record with Flo Milli.
So I got an all-girls project coming up, too, to where I’m just featuring the ladies of hip hop that I’ve been fortunate enough to work with. And I think that’s gonna be the next one, and I’m gonna let this lead that off. But I’ve been working on a few multiple projects at once, so I think that’s gonna be the first one to kick off.
Pardi also discusses upcoming shows and tour dates
We definitely gonna be on the road for this summertime, and I think this is like the first one that’s gonna gear that up, but I’m gonna continue the energy. You’re gonna see my face a little bit more. I’m gonna be popping out.
I took this last summer to really just settle down, like you know what I’m saying? And just get into the creative process all over again, and just see what that felt like, it sounded like.
