Massachusetts lyricist Abyss returns with “Dynamic Duo,” a dark and immersive new single produced by underground virtuoso DC The Midi Alien. Blending sharp lyricism with a warm, retro-inspired soundscape, the record delivers gritty boom-bap drums, soulful undertones and raw underground energy.
The track features fellow Massachusetts artist Cyrus Da Zine, who contributes a standout guest verse while trading a back-and-forth chorus with Abyss, creating a chemistry that feels both cohesive and uncompromising. The song closes with cuts from Boston’s own DJ Slipwax, adding an authentic golden-era touch to the record.
Completing the presentation, the single’s artwork was hand-drawn by Cyrus, while visualizer videos by Brian Life bring the release to life with a striking animated aesthetic that captures the spirit of the underground.
